Meeting Wednesday - GFL Presents Landfill Proposal

The Washtenaw County Materials Management Planning (MMP) Committee will meet

10 AM, Wednesday, August 19th
Washtenaw County Learning Center
4135 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor

The agenda for the meeting includes GFL presenting their proposal to construct a new landfill north of the Arbor Hills Landfill. The MMP Committee plans to hold a vote on GFL's proposal by the end of this year. This vote is a crucial step in the process of approving or denying GFL's proposal.

The meeting is public. Comments are limited to 2 minutes per attendee and will be allowed near the end of the meeting. Meetings typically last 90 minutes.

The New Landfill is:

Unneeded – We have too many landfills
Stop Canadian Trash

Unsafe -         Toxic Odors and emission
PFAS in Johnson Creek

Unfair -           Washtenaw profits we suffer
Stop Cash for Trash
Focus on recycling
Do the right thing

If you are unable to attend in person, the meeting is streamed, but comments are only allowed for those attending in person.
