Our Town Hall is timely as we recently confirmed that Green for Life (GFL) has started the process of obtaining permits for a new landfill. We learned GFL requested EGLE to complete an Advisory Analysis of property on the Northwest corner of Napier and Six Mile Roads.
The Advisory Analysis will inform GFL of the steps that must be taken to obtain the necessary permits to construct and operate a new landfill at this site. The first step in the approval process is to get the approval of the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners by having a new landfill identified in the County’s Material Management Plan (MMP).
We will need your help to ensure NO NEW LANDFILL is constructed at this site.
